Tallinn University of Technology (Tallinn Tech), founded in 1918, is one of the most innovative universities in Europe. Tallinn Tech offers internationally recognized Bachelor`s and Master`s programmes in English in many different study fields: Business, Social Sciences, Law, IT, Engineering.

The Center of Biorobotics of TUT is a multidisciplinary research center founded in 2008 with the aim of conducting research on the borderline of robotics and biology.

The main research areas are bio-inspired locomotion and sensing, underwater robotics and fin propulsion, computational and experimental fluid dynamics, electroactive polymer artificial muscles, robot learning and adaptation. The center has a well-equipped labs for experimental work in mechanics and electronics, facilities for experimental fluid dynamics, including a test tank, flow pipe and a DPIV system for creating and monitoring a controlled turbulence, sensors and software for underwater experiments, software and computer cluster for computational fluid dynamics, equipment for field experiments. The technical staff of the center has technical skills for experimental work in these areas.
